Guild meetings and activities have resumed. See Upcoming Events page for more details.

There will still be limitations to what we can do, however, we will be able to get together in small groups such as Tuesday morning hand quilting, some workshops at the Seniors Hall or in members’ homes. Business meetings will be via Zoom as will some programs and workshops.

It is our intention to be as “vibrant” as possible given the Pandemic. We’re anxious to catch-up and enjoy what is new in quilting from new techniques from a host of instructors worldwide with online platforms.

The quild has used the Cranbrook Seniors Hall since its inception 35 years ago. We’re not “seniors who quilt,” we are “creators of any age who design traditional, modern or art quilt pieces.” The Seniors Hall space is convenient for meetings and workshops. We each pay a yearly membership fee and by being members of the Seniors Association (no “age requirement”), we can use the space at a reduced rental cost, plus store our library and other resources, making them accessible to members outside of meeting times.

The Seniors Association’s COVID policy states that all members and facility users must have a valid Vaccine Card. If you plan to participate in any activities at the Seniors Hall, be aware that you must show your vaccine card/ID, and follow the Guild’s COVID19 Plan. You can be a member of the guild and not a member of the Seniors Association and not use the Seniors Hall.

The Cranbrook Quilters’ Guild holds meetings every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month (September to May) at 7:00 via Zoom. Everyone is welcome. Contact the president HERE to receive an invitation to the meeting on Zoom.

Members will also meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday mornings in the basement of the Seniors Hall for project work, hand-quilting and chit-chat about quilting. The Guild’s COVID19 Plan must be followed in these meetings.
